This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the Trust as Chief Information Officer following the recent acquisition of West Middlesex University Hospital Trust. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust now runs two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital & West Middlesex University Hospital - as well as a range of community based services, including their award winning sexual health and HIV clinics across London. With 5,000 staff caring for nearly one million people locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, they provide a range of specialist clinical services as well as general hospital services for people living locally, which include A&E and maternity at both their hospital sites.
Their ambition is to lead the NHS with world class, patient focused healthcare delivered locally. Their teams will go beyond for their patients and community in order to deliver against this aim. They aim to build a strong and sustainable foundation trust which provides high-quality, value-for-money services to meet the health needs of the local population.
In support of this ambition, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Chief Information Officer, reporting to the Chief Executive as a key member of the Trust leadership team. The postholder will lead the periodic refresh and implementation of the Trust’s Clinical Systems & IT strategy and plans, addressing the Trust’s performance improvement agenda and promoting its status as a centre of international clinical excellence.
The Trust is committed to supporting the clinical and business needs of staff and patients by providing the highest quality IT services to clinicians, general managers and professional staff and patients, and to connecting the Trust securely to the wider NHS and beyond.
