A large healthcare organisation is currently looking to appoint an experienced Trust Company Secretary to support the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Board of Directors and the organisation as a whole to operate effectively in accordance with the highest standards of Corporate Governance;
  • Support the organisation in its relationship with external bodies;
  • Supply the external bodies with reports and information and ensure that any necessary actions by the Trust are implemented;
  • Develop relationships personally with senior staff throughout the organisation, with local partners, also the interface with the Communications Team will be of particular importance;
  • Provide first line advice and interpretation, relevant to business, and all matters relating to statutory and legislative compliance to the Chief Executive and the Chair of the Board and act as principal liaison between the Trust and legal advisors;

The ideal candidate with have:

  • Membership of ICSA or other appropriate professional body Legal qualification;
  • Ability to maintain and develop excellent communications with individuals and groups on complex topics in a variety of situations;
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills gained at corporate level;
  • Corporate governance, risk management, legal or financial experience involving a managing a function or section of a department.
