A NHS Acute organisation based in the South West is currently recruiting for an Associate Director of Teaching and Learning who has a background with teaching in the NHS. The role is for an interim basis of an initial 3 month contract for an immediate start.
Our client, a highly renowned acute hospital based in the South West is looking for someone to lead the Teaching and Learning function and services ensuring that all staff are appropriately skilled and developed to deliver the Trusts vision and mission and all employer requirements in respect of education and training are met.
This includes the medical, clinical and non clinical education and teaching, ensuring that we build capability and capacity of all staff across all divisions. The successful candidate will lead the review of the Teaching and Learning strategy to develop a culture of life-long learning across all staff groups within the Trust where Teaching and Learning is aligned to the Trust Values and Strategies and synonymous with quality, cost, performance, and the delivery of excellent patient care.
You will need to look at reviewing the links with local universities and other education providers along with improving leadership and training functions within the organisation.
You will ideally have come from a clinical background and/or from a Learning and Development background.
