Our featured job of the week is for an NHS Trust in London, whereby an exceptional opportunity has arisen in the trust’s commercial team for a dynamic and talented leader to take up the post of Associate Director of Commercial. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Commercial, the post-holder will lead on a wide range of projects with the objective of developing and driving the trust’s commercial strategy. To do this they will need to establish strong internal relationships with the Board, SMT and the CAG leadership, in order to understand the objectives and aspirations of the trust. They will then need the ability to horizon scan across the system and align our aspirations with suitable commercial opportunities.
As a suitable candidate for this post you will have an in-depth understanding of the health and social care system, with the ability to support the trust’s annual planning and strategy development. You will be analytical with a high level of financial acumen and the ability to build complex financial models in order to cost and assess opportunities and build robust business cases.
In addition to leading the trust’s commercial function, you will have the flexibility and skills to pick up and lead a range of projects, including, issue based problem solving, service development and transformation projects. You will have experience of end to end bid management and business proposal development, and a track record of seeking out, shaping and developing commercial opportunities and working with our clinicians, service and borough leads to win new business.
